10th Anniversary Exhibition
“Singularity goes Convivial: From Post-Ubiquitous to Digital Nature—10 Years of Exploration, Dance in the Forest of Computational Nature, Farewell, Homo Sapiens.”

The Digital Nature Group (Digital Nature Laboratory at the University of Tsukuba / Digital Nature Development Center, directed by Associate Professor Yoichi Ochiai) will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2025.
To commemorate this milestone, we will hold an exhibition titled “Singularity goes Convivial: From Post-Ubiquitous to Digital Nature—10 Years of Exploration, Dance in the Forest of Computational Nature, Farewell, Homo Sapiens.” to showcase our research achievements to the public.

This exhibition will be the largest ever by the Digital Nature Group, following the “Yahoo! JAPAN Technology Art #01: Japanese Technium Exhibition” in 2017 and the “Computational Nature and Mingei: The Path of Co-Creation with xDiversity” in 2022.
Cutting-edge projects that stand at the intersection of human-computer co-evolution, the relationship between society and technology, and the coexistence of natural and artificial intelligence will be on display.

This exhibition aims to reconsider the boundaries between technology and nature, artificial intelligence and humanity, and the digital and the physical. It is a glimpse into the next ten years of our journey.

Guest Profile

Kazuto Ataka (Professor, Keio University SFC)
Kazuto Ataka is a Senior Strategist at LINE Yahoo Corporation, having joined Yahoo Japan Corporation in 2008 after working at McKinsey & Company.
He served as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of Yahoo Japan Corporation from 2012 and has been involved in corporate strategy and business development at Z Holdings (now LINE Yahoo Corporation) since 2022.
Since 2016, he has been teaching at Keio University SFC, promoting education in data science and AI.
His publications include “Issue-Driven” and “Shin-Nihon”.
